I love painting using lots of color so I never thought I would paint a winter scene but I love these. I've been so inspired by all this beautiful snow we've gotten lately. And there is a lot of color, sometimes subdued, but color never the less. I find these recent paintings very quiet and peaceful. The other day I went outside in the middle of the day during our most recent snow. It was so quiet and still, except for the falling snow. That's how these paintings make me feel.
